I love it. I chose it instead of the bracelet or shoe tag because I can also wear it while cycling and I don't have something else next to my Garmin on my wrist. I also ride with an ID but I'm pretty bad about running with one, and it's easy to put this on when I'm heading out the door.
Luckily, I also get to give away a Road ID of your choice! I'm going to make this simple - you need to be a follower & leave one comment. Tell me what mantra you would put on your Road ID. That's it.
For a bonus entry, you can tweet about it, but do not leave a comment for this one. Just make sure to include @thisamazingday in your tweet and I will add those myself. I'll choose a winner next Friday, 4/29! Good luck!
Shit, I just paid for a Road ID. With no mantra because I don't have one. Make one up for me!
ReplyDelete"Calm but fierce." :)
ReplyDelete"Push Your Limits"
ReplyDelete"Push Through" - I never had a mantra until I ran the Philly Marathon...every Mile Marker had a sign that said Push Through!
ReplyDelete"I may not be fast, I may not be first, but I will always finish."
ReplyDeleteFatigue Is A Choice.
ReplyDeleteWell CLEARLY I need a Road ID since I run alone and rarely bring my cell. Sigh.
ReplyDelete"No Regrets."
extra for TMB, Wanna Be Iron Mommy, LAPT, Amy.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome, thank you for hosting! I have always wanted one of these...and regardless of whether I win I will certainly be entering!!
ReplyDeleteMy running Mantra would be "Hammer Down" we used it in swimming at pretty much every practice and it's stuck :)
"Step 1: Start running"
ReplyDeleteYour road ID is so pretty :)
ps I follow you...that sounds creepy
ReplyDeletePPS I'm sad I didn't get to meet you in the flesh this wknd
actually, endlessrunner, the PPS sounds creepier.
ReplyDeleteI am lame and always use the same mantra, but after an injury I can't help but think of it: One day you will not be able to do this, today is not that day.
ReplyDeleteRoad ID is a great ID. The mantra I repeat to myself most when needing to dig deep is "HTFU".
ReplyDeleteIn dire want of a new RoadID, can't leave home without it. "I Can Do All Things!"
ReplyDeleteextra for squirrelhead, jimvanbe
ReplyDeleteI have yet to come up with a good mantra. I want to like "Be Bold." but it just doesn't do anything for me! Open to suggestions :)
ReplyDeletemine would say "Stay Calm, Be Strong!"
ReplyDelete"Fall 7 Times, Stand Up 8" :)
ReplyDeleteI have multiple road ids (each pair of running shoes and a bracelet for when I travel), but I'd like to get one for my son so his food allergy would be known.
ReplyDeleteIf I were putting a mantra on mine, I'd choose between:
I can do anything for a mile.
or
They will run and not grow weary. (Isaiah 40:31)
I wonder if "May the Force be with you" would fit on a Road ID... hmmm :)
ReplyDeleteDig deep!
ReplyDelete"You can quit and no one will care, but you will always know!"

ReplyDeleteMy mantra is "Kaaaaaaatiiiieeeeee". Does that count?
ReplyDelete"Life is not a race."
ReplyDelete"Bring it"
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting one of these forever! My mantra is "Finish Strong"
ReplyDeleteMy mantra would be "Breathe. Smile. Run. Repeat."
ReplyDeleteIt sucks because it is a marketing line, but I often use 'Impossible is nothing'. I have others for different terrain, but that's the all-rounder... I also use Dig Deep, as Kandi has here.
ReplyDelete"just breathe".... or booooooobs :)
ReplyDelete"You don't own busy." Just a reminder that there's no excuse for not getting out there and getting your workout on.
ReplyDeleteGreat quote choice :) Simple, and motivating.
ReplyDeleteI'm bad about running w/ my ID too - between the Garmin, Ipod, Camelback and keys, I feel overloaded. Priorities are a little off, obviously. I'd have to think about the quote...maybe "Do one thing a day that scares you" - because I can't get over how awesome that idea is. ;)
extra danielle, john senger,
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I have the kind that is velcro under your shoelaces. I think a dogtag would annoy me...? But then I'd look a lot more bad ass. So I guess that's a fair trade off :) I don't know what my mantra would say. I always liked, "GIT UP ON THAT HORSE!" that an old running coach used to say to me. So I'd go with that.
ReplyDelete"long and strong" (this is a carryover from my rowing days and usually devolves into yelling at my legs, but hey)
ReplyDeleteextra ejcallen
ReplyDeletenew follower!! I would love to have a roadid! woo hoo! i think i would have it say something like "strong and confident"
ReplyDeletei am a follower and i would probably go with I Run Because...I Can
ReplyDeleteAfter a year long ITB injury, my mantra is "Stong gluts, little steps." I must have said those words to myself thousands of times. I am finally back to very slow running. But I have learned to embrace the pace, no matter how slow. On second thought, maybe I should use "embrace the pace."
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway! I would have mine say "Run like a girl!" because, well, I'm a girl and that phrase makes fun of all those stupid stereotypes women have overcome. It empowers me!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower (and I put this on my blog - http://dailyvitaminf.blogspot.com/2011/04/total-giveaway-tuesday-11.html)
ReplyDeleteI'd put - NEVER GIVE UP - on it
i'd put: "just keep chuggin'" . . .i think that is how i feel about most of my long workouts :)
ReplyDelete"If it was easy, everyone would be doing it."
ReplyDeleteextra Liz L!
ReplyDeleteI'd want the same mantra on my Road ID as I have on my foot. "Believe"
ReplyDelete"Shut up, legs!"
ReplyDeleteextra Emily L.
ReplyDeleteI always say I don't have a mantra, but when I'm really feeling it in a race, I always tell myself "You worked hard for this." Just a little reminder that I wanted to be here and don't fuck it up now.
ReplyDeleteextra jaegerwolf.
ReplyDeleteRelentless Forward Progress
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I would love a Road Id! (I'm even gonna try for that bonus entry!)
ReplyDeleteNot sure I have a defined mantra, per se, but when I'm in a tough training spot I always thing of that old school P.O.D. song and the lyrics, "Is that all you got? Take your best shot."
Hope I win!
extra sarahthequeen!
ReplyDeleteRoad ID sounds great. For my mantra I use the words my husband had inscribed on the iPod shuffle he gave me as a surprise last year:
ReplyDelete"Run Like Hell"
Oooh, forgot one I used in London the other week: "Never underestimate the power of 1-2-3-4". Well, worked for me. Kind of.
ReplyDeletehesitant to enter cuz I don't really have a mantra...but dang I want a Road ID!! so, maybe "just a little further".
ReplyDeleteI also really like to count when I run/bike, so I thought for a bit about "59...58...57" ... which is probably related to when I first started working out ever, and I told myself I could do anything for 5 minutes. :)
Fierce Warrior!
ReplyDeleteextra kdaisy, dash!
ReplyDeleteHi! I am excited to be a new follower! I would love a road id because my husband always is worried about me running alone. I would put "UNSTOPPABLE" for my mantra.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower. My mantra is "keep going, you can do anything!"
ReplyDeletei run because i hate it!
ReplyDeleteMy mantra: "Suck it up"
ReplyDelete"YOU can do this!"
ReplyDelete"Keep calm, run on!"
ReplyDeleteFinishing=winning
