finally

So, for someone who is accustomed to documenting every inane detail of her life online, the past few weeks have been really difficult.
I've felt like I've had nothing to blog about, but in reality, I've had nothing that I've been able to blog about.
Mostly for fear of jinxing myself.
I am terrible about keeping secrets, so I've been a giant pain in the internet's ass and have gotten a lot of WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON emails from friends.
I did start a new job about three weeks ago, and it's a fabulous job filled with amazing people and I leave every day happier than I was when I got there.
And I'm pretty sad to be leaving them, along with everyone else in DC, in a few short weeks.
Because last night I accepted a new job, and we are moving.
To Boulder, Colorado

  1. Congratulations, but NOOOOOO!!!

And I was pretty sure this was the kind of announcement we were going to hear.

When do you leave? Now you need to run one of the 5 halves with me in March...

  14. Happy to hear that the job *here* has been working out for the best! But, THRILLED to hear what the next chapter will be for you two. Have to admit the Boulder-obsessed ego of mine is quite envious of your new landing spot, but for now it just means we have even more reason to visit (more often)! ;)

    CONGRATS!!!

(P.s. The puppies are going to love that wide open space!)

  24. Ho-ly-sh-it. Colorado? Wow. That's one helluva move! Now I'm REALLY pissed that I didn't get to meet you in person on my last trip to DC or at the Beach 2 Battleship last weekend. There's no way I'm ever going to be lucky enough to go to boulder fucking colorado. Congrats on the new job, but I secretly wish you were going to move to Raleigh. Ok, that's not a secret.

Is this going to take care of the air quality/asthma thing?

  27. Congratulations! I should have guessed that's what was going on, because I would have been right! (I swear I'm not a scary stalker...) Kudos for taking the plunge: We rarely regret doing things -- it's the things not done that we regret.

And I can't wait to see photos of puppies on the move.

  39. Happy Boulder! Sad D.C. :( I'll miss our swim dates, but will look forward to living vicariously through you as you run the trails at Chatauqua, refuel at Illegal Pete's and ruin early-morning training sessions with happy-hour margaritas at the Rio (a rite of passage in Boulder). Congratulations—but we sure will miss you here!
