random friday facts

1. I don't like scented candles that smell like cookies, vanilla, sugar, anything like that.  I like the light flowers and the minty stuff.

2. I think someone wrote my phone number on a bathroom wall somewhere.  I've been getting a lot of very interesting picture texts from wrong numbers.

3. This is the first house I've lived in since I left for college that has curtains in it.

4. I really like my boss.

5. I have a very difficult time choosing furniture.

6. I got my ankle realigned this morning.  Stupid hypermobility.

7. I found a pair of running shorts with a pocket.  And it zips closed.  Why don't more companies do this?

8. I find it hilarious that my dogs bark at the mailman.

9. I wish my house had more windows and natural light.

10. It makes me happy in a way that I can't describe when all the puppies snuggle up together.

11. I don't buy groupon-type deals.

12. I feel like my electric toothbrush is sad when the batteries die.

13. I hate when men wear pleated khaki pants.

14. I am absolutely terrible at remembering to send birthday cards to friends.

15. I'm still hungry and in love with the pool.  MOAR SWIMMING PLZ!!!!!

16. I've been wearing my change-every-3-month contacts for at least 6 months now.

17. Still stuck in a cooking rut, but at least I'm eating more veggies.

18. I've gone almost 4 days without drinking any Powerade Zero.

Happy Friday, friends!  Share your RFF's with me, and have a great weekend!

  1. They make change every 3 month contacts?? I've been wearing my monthly change ones for 2 months and counting...need to get some of those!

I think pleated pants in any form pretty much suck.

  2. Why do all running clothes not have pockets? I recently bought a short-sleeved running shirt with a pocket in the back that zips, and it was worth every penny of the way too much I spent.

(To be fair, almost all my running clothes have pockets now, which my husband finally made me admit while I was whining about it. But that's only because I've been searching specifically for that.)

I RFF'd about TV. Aww yeah.

  3. I'm new to scented candles (they used to bother my allergies) and right now I love pumpkin scented most of all. I'd love to find one that really smells like fresh eucalyptus & not some fakey old lady perfume.

I'm shocked at how much I love swimming...who knew?

  4. Note to self..... write phone number in women's bathrooms. Done and done.

  5. I don't like scented candles much at all, but I have any, they are usually vanilla LOL.

I think I'm supposed to change my contacts every month. Some months they last and last and some pairs barely make it a month. Right now I have one pair left and I'm avoiding going to the eye doctor...

  6. As I'm washing my hands after I pee, I realize I still have to go. It never ends!

PS, my month contacts are in just as long.

  7. I RFFed.
I don't like candles that smell like food/vanilla either. I'm also allergic to some scents, such as pine.
When I used to wear contacts I always went WAY over the specified weeks/months. I now only wear glasses though.

  8. So glad to see I'm not the only one who wears their contacts for way waaaaay too long ~ seems to be a common theme here :)

    Also, RFF-ing = Done!

  9. I RFF-ed and I agree SO MUCH with the pleated khaki things

  10. Oooh I love sugar/cookie scented candles.

Agreed on pockets in shorts (or pants) - it should be mandatory!!

    Have a fab weekend!!!

  11. I've been wearing my monthly contacts for close to a year now. Granted, I don't wear them from when I get up until I go to bed.

BTW - Sorry about that. I'll start using Jon's phone number for my graffiting habit

  12. Buy lululemon shorts (I know you don't want to drink the kool-aid of lulu) but ALL their shorts have zipper pockets, one of my pairs even has TWO zipper pockets. Worth all the $$$$.

  13. I know you're not going to try the Lulu shorts (though they all do have really excellent zip pockets) so I'll suggest the Nike split running shorts - just make sure not to wear them while doing core work, the zipper is often uncomfortably placed to lay on. 14. Floraly candles give me migraines :( Bring on the spicey ones!

As a fellow hypermobile, I feel your pain.

I will only by the groupons/livingsocial deals after I check the reviews on the places. SOOOOO many are by places that I wouldn't send my enemies... ok, maybe 1 or 2 of them.

#7: I won't buy a pair of running shorts without this feature. Except when you don't zip up the pocket and your car keys go flying. You are REALLY SOL. I got lucky that day.....

#11: Me too. Too much of a pain in the @$$hole

    #17: I have some ideas!

  16. lululemon - zippered pockets on all running pants. Worth it.

  17. Did you see my link to you for eggplant on twitter? If not, let me know and I'll resend.

They still make pleated khaki pants? So wrong in so many ways.

I buy group-on deals all the time. They are great for weekend getaways.

I used to look for running shorts with pockets all the time so I could carry GUs without a belt, now with liquid nutrition I don't need those pockets but must have back small pocket with zipper for my one key. MUST!!!!!

  18. Everything running should have zippered pockets. Love my hats that do.

  19. Furniture is tough! I have been wearing my two-week contact lenses for about 5 weeks. ;-)

  20. Oh I think pleated khakis look terrible too!!

  21. I'm actually allergic to many scented candles. Weird thing, but I break out sneezing.

  22. I like the candles that smell like baked goods, so it smells like I've been baking but without all the work. I bought a groupon deal once and never used it so I feel like I can't justify buying another one. Yaaayyyy for swimming! Glad you are enjoying it!

  23. #7 is the first reason I became obsessed with lululemon running gear. EVERYTHING has a pocket that zips (pullovers, pants, shorts, etc.). I love.

#14 Ditto, my friend. I just tell everyone that I extend their celebrations.

  24. I RFF-ed and I agree SO MUCH with the pleated khaki things
